Bruce Atlin was born in 1969 in the city of Whitehorse, the capital city of the Yukon Territories in Canada. Bruce is a member of the Tlingit Nation of the Pacific Northwest Coast. He lists artist Demsey Bob as his inspiration. Bruce began carving wood in 1980 and is versed in the art of bead and leatherwork as well.
