Kurtis Antone was born into the Squamish Tribe of the Coast Salish Nation at Capilano, British Columbia. Kurtis, already belonging to a family who were proven northwest coast carvers, said it was only natural that he began to carve as a boy. Kurtis lists Pat Natrall Sr. as his teacher. Kurtis's attention to detail and natural sense of design makes each complete piece a work of art and a coveted collector's item.
