Ernie was born in 1970 in Lytton, British Columbia, Canada. He's a member of the Thompson Tribe, Lytton Band, Interior Salish Nation. A self-taught carver, Ernie became involved in making Native art out of interest in his culture. Ernie carves wood, he paints, draws, carves soapstone and makes drums. He is a versatile artist whose distinct style and attention to detail is clearly evident in his artwork. Ernie is continuing the tradition his father, Victor Adams, passed on to him.
